Rádio Comercial Kids streams music, stories and family-friendly programming in Portuguese, built for young listeners and the households around them. It is free to listen right now, anywhere in the world, no account required.
A Commercial Answer to a Public Service Gap
Dedicated children's radio is a genuinely rare format in Portugal. The country's public broadcaster RTP only launched its own children's internet radio, Zig Zag, on September 19, 2016, after recommendations dating back to 2010 calling for a station built specifically for children aged 5 to 9. That slow path toward public children's radio left room for commercial alternatives, and Rádio Comercial Kids fills that space as part of Bauer Media's Portuguese radio portfolio, the same company behind Rádio Comercial itself, Portugal's most listened station.
Built for Family Listening
Rather than competing directly with RTP's educational Zig Zag format, Rádio Comercial Kids leans into entertainment, catchy songs, stories and interactive content designed to hold a young listener's attention while staying easy for parents to leave on in the background. It is one of several themed streams Bauer runs alongside its flagship Portuguese stations, carving specific audiences like children out of the broader hit radio format.
