Not every radio station starts in a broadcast tower. Ketch Radio began at Midwest Market, a real, physical market where founder David Ketchum, known to listeners simply as Ketch, decided in 2021 that the region deserved a station built around variety, top hits and genuine community, rather than a rigid format.

From Market Stall to Worldwide Stream

The station still keeps a foothold at Midwest Market, where its mascot DJ, SkullBeats, greets visitors in person even as the actual broadcast reaches listeners far beyond the region through phones, tablets and desktops. That contrast, a hyper-local home base feeding a genuinely global stream, is part of what gives Ketch Radio its identity: small enough to feel personal, wide enough to reach anyone who wants to tune in.

Ketch Behind the Mic

Ketchum hosts the station's flagship program, Midwest Market, every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., mixing music with the kind of loose, conversational energy that comes from someone more interested in a good story and a Guinness than a scripted playlist. That personal touch runs through the rest of the schedule too.

A Full Crew, Not a One-Man Show

Weekday mornings bring Stormy with weather updates from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m., while Candy handles music news throughout the day, rounding the station out into something closer to a full-service local outlet than a simple internet jukebox. It's a small crew running a big mission, delivering what the station calls top-tier music to listeners wherever they happen to be.
