Virgin Radio Lebanon streams English-language contemporary hit music live from Beirut, part of Richard Branson's global Virgin Radio franchise reaching one of the Middle East's most media-saturated cities. You can stream it free anytime on Radio Shuffle.
A Global Brand Lands in Beirut
Virgin Radio Lebanon officially launched on May 15, 2013, operated under license by Levant Media Hub SAL as the Lebanese outpost of Virgin Radio, the station chain Richard Branson built as part of the wider Virgin Group. According to the station's history, it broadcasts from Beirut on 89.5 MHz FM with an English-language contemporary hit radio format, slotting into a city whose radio dial already carries everything from Radio Lebanon, on air since 1934 as one of the Arab world's pioneering stations, to dedicated talk, religious, and alternative music outlets.
A Sister Station Follows Six Years Later
The brand expanded further on September 1, 2019, with the launch of Virgin Radio Stars Lebanon on FM 89.7, broadcasting alongside the original Virgin Radio Lebanon signal on 89.5 rather than replacing it. That gave the Virgin Radio name two simultaneous frequencies in Beirut, a sign of how much appetite there was for the brand in a market that already supports a genuinely dense FM lineup.
