Built by One Person Who Wanted a Bigger Reach
The station is led by Heinrich Friedrich, known as Henry, who serves as founder and chief admin, handling the program content, the radio server and the station's companion video platform, Spirit TV, alongside his role as a member of Vienna's Kagran evangelical church. Pastor Prince Ashirifie joined as a second chief admin focused on the English-language broadcasts and leads a prayer ministry called Psalmist Prayer Sanctuary. The wider team, drawn from the D.A.CH. region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, keeps the station running as chat moderators and radio hosts, some of whom have been involved since as early as 2011.
A Day Split Between Two Languages
Spirit Live Radio runs German programming from 6am to 11pm, then hands off to English broadcasts overnight until 6am, a schedule built to serve both the local German-speaking audience and an international one tuning in after hours. The programming itself blends Christian music from around the world with Bible readings, interviews with Christian artists and preachers, and live chat sessions where listeners can ask questions or request prayer in real time.
More Than Just a Stream
The station's reach extends past radio. Spirit TV adds Christian teaching videos and faith-based films to the mix, and the site hosts an online Bible with reading plans and study resources including the John MacArthur Study Bible. It is a small operation built to feel personal, right down to the live chat that runs alongside the broadcast, letting listeners connect with real moderators rather than shouting into a void.
