R101 Made in Italy streams only Italian music around the clock, from current Sanremo-era chart names like Mahmood and Tony Effe to the country's biggest established pop stars. It streams free and instantly on Radio Shuffle, anywhere in the world.
A Channel Built Around One Simple Rule
Where R101's main FM signal mixes adult contemporary hits with TG5 news updates, Made in Italy strips the format down to a single idea: every track has to be Italian. The channel runs a curated playlist built to keep listeners company throughout the day, pulling from major domestic names like Laura Pausini, Vasco Rossi and Marco Mengoni alongside whatever new Italian pop is breaking at the moment, a mix confirmed by the station's own channel description.
Part of a 2014 Reinvention
The specialty channel grew out of a broader relaunch Mondadori's radio division carried out in 2014, when R101 repositioned itself around music specifically, adopting a new logo and the tagline "The Music" to signal the shift, according to Mondadori's own announcement of the relaunch. That strategy paired music programming with partnerships across concerts, football and television, laying the groundwork for a network built to spin off genre and nationality-specific streams like this one.
A Showcase for What's Actually Charting in Italy
Italian pop has had a visible global moment in recent years, with Sanremo Festival winners and breakout domestic rap and pop acts regularly crossing into the wider European charts. Made in Italy works as a direct line into that scene, built for anyone who wants to hear what is actually playing on Italian radio and in Italian clubs right now rather than the handful of Italian names that cross over internationally.
Tune In
From Sanremo veterans to the newest names climbing the Italian charts, R101 Made in Italy keeps the entire stream domestic. Stream it free on Radio Shuffle for a continuous dose of Italian pop.
