In 2020, Leipzig DJ and producer Philip Mertens bought the radio station he'd been running for someone else, refused to let it die, and rebuilt it from scratch. Today Leipzig Beatzz is a 24/7 EDM and electronic station, a club night, and the organiser of Leipzig's first major outdoor festival, the Future Beatzz Festival.
